Spiced Apple Cider
Happy New Year! Although we sadly took the Christmas tree down and stopped hearing Christmas songs, a cup of hot cider never fails to cheer me up.
Before I met B, I always drank cider cold (it’s warm in texas), but B loves drinking his cider hot, which is perfect for the New England winters. We’ve had some pretty impressive freezing temperatures including the infamous bomb cyclone. The weather was so bad, even schools and clinics shut down – and it takes a lot for the Northeast to shut down in the winter.
This spiced apple cider recipe can be customized to whatever ingredients you have – apples, pears, oranges, cinnamon sticks, cloves, cranberries, and more. It’s my way of using up all the leftover holiday ingredients.
Hope you enjoy this easy winter drink and stay warm!
