Macaron Red Velvet Cake + Baby shower for Alanna 👶🏻🍰🎈 . We didn’t have a formal baby shower since this is our second, but I still wanted to celebrate since I think every baby deserves a party. . My thought was to bake a cake and get balloons to low key celebrate. I was very touched when I arrived and saw that friends and family had backyard decorated with pompoms, balloons, an adventure baby shower sign, luggage favors with chocolate inside, and the cutest diaper cake, topped with succulents. . As many of you know, I love baking started Obsessi As many of you know, I love baking started Obsessive Cooking Disorder 13 years ago. You may notice my website is now broken. . Through a blogger glitch, I lost every photo on my blog (>2000 photos), the majority which I don't have copies due to how old they are. It's hard to express how heartbreaking this is when you've put this much love into something over 13 years. . This blog has documented life in college, my artwork, when I started dating B, engagement and wedding, my medical journey, traveling, the loss of family members, welcoming Nike, Isabelle, and Alanna to my family, and more. . The reason I learned photography, Lightroom, Photoshop, web development, and culinary/foodstyling skills was because of my blog. Frankly, in every medical interview, people were far more interested in my foodblog than any research/medical knowledge/test scores. . My La Madeleine fruit tart recipe, one of my first recipes to go viral, has coincidentally been my muse and a reflection of this blog's growth (and thankfully my food photography skills which were truly awful). . • In 2010, I started my blog at the suggestion of my college friends • In 2014, I bought my domain name www.obsessivecooking.com and felt like my blog was so legit • In 2023, I plan to finally move Obsessive Cooking Disorder from the archaic Blogger platform into Wordpress . I've been thinking about migrating for a long time because of how terrible Blogger is (every year I'm waiting for Google to axe it) but hesitated because of the learning curve for proper website development and cost. Losing all my photos is the push I needed, and I can't risk losing my posts/memories as well . So thank you for anyone encouraging/supporting/reading my blog. I can't wait to see how this new version of Obsessive Cooking Disorder turns out.
Blackberry (Marionberry) Crisp + our first flying Blackberry (Marionberry) Crisp + our first flying trip since COVID19. Went to my cousin’s wedding in SoCal and had a family reunion at a beach resort. Isabelle got to swim for the first time too! . In true Uy fashion, there was a lot of fun, chaos, and food (especially desserts - all the Uys have a sweet tooth). B always says he gains 10 lbs with my family .
